Day 1

The trip departs Rome from the Roma Termini train station at 17:00*. The meeting point is in front of the Nike store at the front of the train station. Please meet your guide 20 minutes prior to departure. Travel to Prague is by private luxury coach with A/C, DVD, and toilet. We make one 45 minute stop. Estimated travel time is 16 hours**. Approximate arrival time is 9:00*. Upon arrival to Prague, we will immediately check into our accommodation.

Day 2

Friday morning, after what some consider the best hostel breakfast in Europe and time to freshen up, we hook up with the best walking tour in the city, Sandemans New Prague Walking Tour. Our 3 hour tour will cover all the main sites and stories of Prague’s fascinating history while we explore Old Town, New Town, and the Jewish Quarter. Remember to tip your guide! The rest of the day is yours to explore Prague at your own pace. Options are endless: shopping sprees, monuments and museums, sipping on the local brew, and heaps more! If you’re looking for a great meal, your trip leader can point you in the direction of the Czech Kitchen, the best place to try traditional Czech cuisine at a really cheap price.

Friday night we take you out for a night on the town with the Clocktower Bar Crawl, the biggest bar crawl in Prague. We skip the tourist traps and hit Prague’s best local bars and clubs, and end up at an underground club. 

Day 3

Saturday morning your trip leader will take you across the river to Mala Strana and get you up close and personal with the Kafka Museum, the John Lennon Wall, and Charles Bridge. The John Lennon Wall is a piece of art in itself, and the Charles Bridge can’t be missed, so don’t forget your camera!

Saturday afternoon after the Bus2alps Walking Tour your trip leader will take you to U Fleku, Prague’s most famous beer hall, for a 3 course Czech meal complete with a half liter of U Fleku’s home brewed beer! After lunch, those of you signed up for the New Europe Prague Castle Tour will then head to the Rudolfinum for a 14:00 pick up time for the tour. Those not signed up for the tour have the afternoon free to explore the rest of Prague. Your trip leader can show you to where you can climb Petrin Hill & Tower for more great views over the city, visit Prague Castle (without the commentary of the New Europe Tour), shop at the Palladium, or pick up souvenirs in Old Town. If you’re looking for a taste of the Czech drinking culture and Czech beer, Bus2alps recommends the New Prague Beer Challenge. Saturday night we meet back in the hostel bar at 22:30 to head out to Lucerna for an 80’s & 90’s pop video dance party. A great atmosphere and cheap drinks, Lucerna is the place to be every Saturday night. The venue is packed with Czechs of all ages dancing on the huge dance floor and up on the stage.

Day 4

Sunday morning we depart for Rome at 11:00*. Meet in the hostel lobby for departure at 10:30. Estimated drive time is 16 hours**. We will make one 45 minute stop for dinner. We will arrive in Rome at approximately 3:00*.
