Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

This tour meets at Athens Airport (ATH). Please meet your trip leader at the airport Arrivals Hall at 11:00am. If you flight arrives at a different time you can meet the group at our accommodation. After meeting your trip leader and providing all trip information, we will embark on a private walking tour of Athens’ main historical sites including the Acropolis, Temple of Zeus and Parliament. After the tour you will have some time to return to our accommodation and relax. We will meet in the evening for our Welcome Dinner (included). Dinner is at a local Greek Taverna where Bus2alps has been going for years. Afterwards the night is free to head back early to our accommodation or join us at a traditional Greek hookah bar / night club.

Day 2

In the early morning we will transfer to the Athens’ port and board a high speed ferry to the island of Santorini. We will arrive in Santorini in the early afternoon and transport directly to our accommodation. We will meet in the early evening to head to the town city center to watch an unforgettable sunset. Afterwards you are free for dinner and to join us at one of the bustling clubs in the Thira city center.

Day 3

Today you are free to explore the beauty of Santorini. We recommend renting a scooter or ATV to better explore all of the small villages and the landscape of the island of Santorini. There will be an optional island tour by bus that will bring you to the Red and Black beaches, a winery, and Oia. We will organize for everyone to make it to Oia for sunset (Oia is rated as one of the top places in the world for sunset). Afterwards you are free for dinner and to join us at one of the bustling clubs in the Thira city center.

Day 4

Today we will depart Santorini for Ios. You will have the morning free to visit more of Santorini, or join the optional Caldera tour. The Caldera tour visits the extinct volanco located in the bay between Santorini and its nearby islands. We will arrive in Ios in the evening and check into our accommodation. Ios is a beautiful island, that is known for being the biggest part in the Aegaen. Tonight there will be VIP entry to one of Ios’s great nightclubs.

Day 5

Today you will be free to rest on the beach all day, or take a tour of the island. This evening we will depart Ios to return to Athens. We will arrive to Athens in the late evening. On arrival we will transport to our accommodation. Tonight we will head to Athens’ largest party district.

Day 6

Today you are free to check out more of Athens (visiting the flea market, souvenir shops, beaches, museums) or to take a day trip. Day trips to Marathon, Delphi, the beach and Olympic Park are possible. Contact your trip leader for more information. We will be departing in the evening for Corfu. The private bus trip to Corfu will be overnight.

Days 7 & 8

We will arrive to the world famous Pink Palace early in the morning. Your options at the Pink Palace include the Booze Cruise, the ATV Safari, rent an ATV yourself, go Sea Kayaking, take a day trip to Corfu Town or simply relax on the private beach. Dinner is included and served at the Pink Palace (Days 7 and 8). The Pink Toga Party will be held on either Day 7 or Day 8, and will begin after dinner. The Pink Toga Party is a crazy festival with Greek dancing, lots of ouzo, and plate smashing.

Day 9

We will be departing Corfu in the evening. You will still have time in the morning to join any of the activities. We will travel from Corfu to Bari, Italy by way of an overnight cruise ship.

Day 10

Arrival to Bari will be in the morning. From Bari we will board our private bus and travel to Sorrento, the largest city of the beautiful Amalfi Coast. Travel time to Sorrento will be approximately 5 hours. Upon arrival to The Amalfi Coast we will check into our stunning accommodation. You will have time to explore the nearby town or to hang out on our rooftop terrace, enjoying the views of the Bay of Naples and Mt. Vesuvius. Tonight we organize an optional dinner in the Sorrento town center at Il Leone Rosso, an excellent restaurant with an extensive menu of local specialties at great prices. Afterwards we will return to our accommodation for drinks or to relax.

Day 11

We depart for the port by private bus at 8:00* bus where we board our private boat and set sail for Capri. First stop is the Blue Grotto, followed by many other notable sites. Your trip leader will walk you up Via Krupp to the Augustus’ Garden where you have great views of the island. If you choose to not join, there is a beach in Marina Grande to spend the day. We then walk to Capri Town where meet our private transport to Anacapri. Anacapri bustles with options. We suggest riding up the chairlift to the top of Mt. Solaro, getting custom sandals made or free Limoncello tasting. After we arrive in Anacapri, you will be left with plenty of time to tour the shops, look around the rest of the island, or hangout on the beach down by Marina Grande. Our private boat departs for Sorrento in the late afternoon.

Tonight there will be the option of dinner at our accommodation or in the city, followed by a night out to the English Inn, where Bus2alps guests receive exclusive drink specials.

Day 12

In the morning we depart for Positano. This spectacular, scenic drive takes approximately 45 minutes and hugs the coastline cliff face before depositing us high above Positano. Bus2alps organizes an optional boat trip that takes you on a coastal tour of Positano to cliff jump, cave swim, and capture great photos. Cliff jump into the crystal clear deep Mediterranean or go swimming inside some incredible caves! From Positano you can venture further along the coast to the town of Amalfi. We will be returning in the late afternoon to our accommodation. Your trip leader will confirm the time. Saturday night you have free to yourself to either kick back at the rooptop terrace bar at our accommodation or head into Sorrento. It is possible to organize transport to a club in Positano built into a cave.

Day 13

Today we depart in the morning for Pompeii. At Pompeii, Bus2alps will organize a professionally guided 2 hour tour, or enter on your own. We depart depart Pompeii in the early afternoon, making a stop at the National Park of Vesuvius. You will have the option to enter the park and hike to the crater. Afterwards we depart for Rome, where will spend the evening.

Day 14

Today we depart in the morning for Pompeii. At Pompeii, Bus2alps will organize a professionally guided 2 hour tour, or enter on your own. We depart depart Pompeii in the early afternoon, making a stop at the National Park of Vesuvius. You will have the option to enter the park and hike to the crater. Afterwards we depart for Rome, where will spend the evening.

Day 15

Today there will be an optional trip to the Vatican City, home of the Catholic Church. You will have the opportunity to join a tour of St. Peter’s Basilica, The Vatican Museum, and Michelangelo’s famous Sistine Chapel. You can also jump on the hop-on, hop-off bus tours.
This evening we will meet for our Farewell Dinner (included in price). We will head to one of Rome’s most beautiful districts, Trastevere, and have a local dinner at Bus2alps’ favorite spot in Rome. Afterwards we will continue the last night with drinks in Campo de Fiori and VIP entrance to one of Rome’s clubs.

Day 16

Most flights will depart in the morning. There will be an early morning transfer to the airport. If your flight leaves at a different time, your trip leader will direct you to the best mode of transportation to the airport.
