Step into the pages of a fairy tale in the enchanting city of Prague! Wander past pastel buildings in Old Town Square, along the winding river, and up to the hilltop castle. Stroll through bustling Wenceslas Square, leave your name on the colorfully graffitied John Lennon Wall, and dance the night away in Prague’s legendary nightlife.  This trip typically departs Rome Termini station at 17:00 Thursday night and arrives first thing Friday morning between 9:00 and 10:00.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

The trip departs Rome from the Roma Termini train station. The meeting point is in front of the Nike store at the front of the train station. Please meet your trip leader 20 minutes prior to departure. Travel to Prague is by private luxury coach with A/C, DVD, and bathroom. 

Day 2

Friday morning, after some time for breakfast and to freshen up, we hook up with the best walking tour in the city, Sandemans New Prague Walking Tour. Our tour will cover all the main sites and stories of Prague’s fascinating history exploring the Old Town, New Town, and the Jewish Quarter.  For lunch, your Trip Leader will point out different locations to taste the local Czech food. The rest of the day is free to explore Prague at your own pace. Options are endless: shopping sprees, visiting museums, sipping on the local brew, and heaps more!

Friday night we take you out to one of Prague's best clubs, Lucerna, for an 80’s & 90’s pop video dance party. With a great atmosphere and cheap drinks, Lucerna is the place to be every Friday night. The venue is packed with Czechs of all ages dancing on the huge dance floor and up on the stage.

Day 3

Saturday morning your Bus2alps Trip Leader will take you on the Bus2alps customized walking tour of Prague. You will go across the the river to Mala Strana and get up close and personal with Petrin Hill, Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, and the John Lennon Wall. Petrin Hill and Prague castle boast the best views of the city, and the metaphorical John Lennon Wall is a piece of art in itself, so don’t forget your camera.

During the lunch break of the walking tour, you have the option to join the group for a traditional Czech meal at U Fleku Brewery & Restaurant. The walking tour wraps up in the late afternoon and you have the rest of the day to explore the fairy tale city. Saturday night, you can either sign up for an optional pub crawl, or have the night free to yourself to explore even more of Prague's nightlife. 

Day 4

Sunday morning we depart for Rome. We will make one 45 minute stop for dinner.

Kutna Hora Tour (with New Europe): Take a guided tour out to the famous bone church of Kutna Hora. This church is believed to be constructed of 50,000 skeletons from old priests and residents of the town of Kutna Hora.

Prague Castle Tour (with New Europe): A three hour guided tour of the world’s largest medieval castel, and the districts that surround it.

Beer Challenge (with New Europe): Learn about the great history of Czech beer on a tasting tour of some of the most authentic Prague bars and restaurants - save room for dinner!
