Florence is the birthplace of the Renaissance and home to some of the most significant buildings, paintings, and sculptures in art history. Enjoy true Tuscan cuisine and the diverse nightlife of the city. Florence and the surrounding Tuscan countryside hold some of Italy’s most iconic images. See the David, get lost in the famous San Lorenzo leather markets, and indulge yourself with gelato. Then, we'll spend Sunday in Cinque Terre exploreing Italy's breathtaking riviera. The Cinque Terre or "The Five Lands" are famous for their natural beauty, steep cliffs and mountainous terrain extending inland. As such, the villages and carefully terraced land have kept their original charm. This day trip can be as active or leisurely as you want. With challenging hiking trails, fresh local seafood, easy nature walks with breathtaking scenery, beach chairs, and glittering sea, The Cinque Terre has it all.

The trip departs Rome from the Roma Termini train station. Meeting point is in front of the Nike Store. Please meet your trip leader 20 minutes prior to departure. Travel to Florence is by private, luxury coach bus with A/C, and DVD.
Once we arrive in Florence, your trip leader will give you a walking tour of Florence. We will see the Duomo, the historic Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery, Piazza Republicca, Piazza Signoria, and more! We will finish the tour in Piazza Signoria and your trip leader will direct you to some delcious lunch spots. Florence is known for its cuisine, and you will not be disappointed.
The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore Florence. Your trip leader will walk you to the top of Piazza Michaelangelo, which overlooks the city.
Spend the day shopping and exploring the rest of your Florence Bucket List. Your trip leader will be available to help with any questions you have or suggestions you would like.
Sunday morning we meet at Santa Maria Novella train station to depart from Cinque Terre. The meeting point is in the International Ticketing Hall opposite tracks 8 and 9. Please meet your trip leader 20 minutes prior to departure. Travel to Cinque Terre is by private, luxury coach bus with A/C, DVD, and bathroom.
The trip arrives to Cinque Terre at La Spezia train station. From La Spezia, we will take the local train that services the park and arrive in the first town of Riomaggiore. From here you have access to the entire Cinque Terre National Park. In the National Park you will have the choice to enjoy the many hiking trails that join these famous ‘5 Lands’ or you may choose to just take it easy and relax on the beach.
Your trip leader will take you on the Via dell’Amore, the spectacular walking trail between Riomaggiore and Manarola. We will then continue on to the next 2 towns, Corniglia and Vernazza. You may continue the hike to the fifth and final land, which is more challenging but offers rewarding views. If you choose not to hike it, you may take the coastal ferry to appreciate the view from the water. For those that want to relax for the day on the best beach, Bus2alps recommends the town of Monterosso.
Meet back at the La Spezia train station for departure that evening.
