Friday morning the insanity starts. We highly recommend heading to the grounds where the festival is held called the Theresienwiese. The site is easily accessible by foot from the main train station called Hauptbahnof. Oktoberfest is a giant festival, with rides, games, and beer tents. There are over 14 tents of varying sizes. Tent capacities range from 1,000 to 10,000 people. The Bus2alps group will be heading to the Hofbrau Tent at 10:00. We recommend joining us as this is one of the festival’s most popular tents. Once inside, enjoy authentic Bavarian food, world famous German beer, and plenty of singing. Each tent specializes in a different type of lager so make sure to try a few different tents.
Saturday is the busiest day at the Oktoberfest. It is recommended to arrive at the festival before 8:00 to ensure yourself a spot in the most popular tents. If you arrive late and are not able to enter the tents, it is recommended to grab a spot in the beer garden until they start allowing more people to enter the tent.
We will depart on Sunday morning for Copenhagen. Your Trip Leader will inform you prior to the weekend of the meeting time and location for departure. We make one 45 minute stop for dinner.
