Then get off the beaten path and explore one of Eastern Europe's most beautiful cities: Krakow, Poland. Home to Europe's largest market square as well as Europe's highest concentration of bars (over 300 in the town square area), there's no shortage of things to do and see while taking in the original Polish culture. Visit the Krakow Castle for a touch of majesty, then enjoy traditional Polish dishes such as pierogies and stuffed cabbage.

This trip meets in Prague at the accommodation anytime after 16:00 on Thursday. A Bus2alps trip leader will be in the lobby to help check you into your rooms. If your Bus2alps trip leader is not available at the time of your check in, they will they will coordinate with the front desk to give you your room key and weekend information. The rest of your night is free to explore the magnificent city of Prague! Make sure to ask your Bus2alps guide for dinner and sightseeing recommendations!
Friday morning after breakfast, we hook up with the best walking tour in the city, Sandemans New Prague Walking Tour. Our 3 hour tour will cover all the main sites and stories of Prague’s fascinating history while we explore Old Town, New Town, and the Jewish Quarter. During the lunch break of the walking tour, you have the option to join the group for a traditional Czech meal at U Fleku Brewery & Restaurant. The walking tour wraps up in the late afternoon and you have the rest of the day to explore the fairy tale city. Options are endless: shopping sprees, monuments, and museums, sipping on the local brew, and heaps more! If you’re looking for a great meal, your trip leader can point you in the direction of some local spots to try traditional Czech cuisine at a really cheap price.
Friday night we take you out to Lucerna for an 80’s & 90’s pop video dance party. A great atmosphere and cheap drinks, Lucerna is the place to be every Friday night. The venue is packed with Czechs of all ages dancing on the huge dance floor and up on the stage.
We depart Prague for Krakow early Saturday morning. On the way there we will stop at the concentration camp of Auschwitz, the most known of World War II. We will spend several hours at the site where you will have the option of a guided tour of the camp. We will arrive in Krakow in the evening. At night, there will be an optional group dinner at a traditional Polish restaurant. Afterwards, there will be an optional pub crawl to enjoy many of the over 300 bars or you can explore the incredible nightlife of Krakow on your own!
Sunday morning we will check out and store our luggage, then head out on a walking tour of Krakow. The walking tour will explore the home of Pope John Paul II, Europe’s largest market square, Krakow Castle, and other various sites. The afternoon is free to visit many of Krakow’s up and coming museums, art galleries, or take a day trip out to the incredible Salt Mines. After the walking tour, the day is yours to explore the city. Take this time to explore the Jewish quarter and Schindler’s Factory, or ask your Bus2alps leader for any other suggestions. You can arrange your transportation home at any time on Sunday, if you'd like to participate in Sunday's activities we recommend booking a flight in the evening.
