The trip departs Rome from the Roma Termini train station. The meeting point is in front of the Nike store at the front of the train station. Please meet your trip leader 20 minutes prior to departure. Travel to Venice is by private, luxury coach bus with A/C, DVD, and bathroom.

Once we arrive in Venice you are free to join in on the confetti throwing and mask wearing of the festival or explore the the intricate arrangement of canals and buildings on stilts. There is a market at our arrival location that sells masks. You will have the option to take our private boat transportation that will take us directly to the St. Mark’s Square, the center of the festival, or you can travel by foot. If you choose to visit Murano and Burano, we recommend purchasing a day pass for the water bus as this will allow you to explore all of Venice’s islands with ease.

Your Bus2alps leader will organize a visit to watch a glass master create Venetian style pieces. You will have plenty of time to spend your day checking out Venice’s islands and experiencing the Carnival. You can get on the canals, take a ride in a gondola, or opt for the inexpensive option of touring around by waterbus.

The bus will depart from Venice for Rome that evening.
