Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

The trip meets in Athens anytime after Thursday at 16:00. You will be able to check into our accommodation anytime after 16:00. There are frequent shuttles from the airport to the city center. You will meet your guide at the accommodation.

Day 2

We will meet in the lobby at 10:00 and after some breakfast, head out on the included walking tour of the city of Athens. The walking tour will take us through the city of Athens, The Acropolis, the Ancient Agora, and the Temple of Zeus. This is a great way to get acquainted with Athens, one of the oldest and most fascinating cities of the Western World. After the tour you will be able to eat a delicious gyro in the area of Monastiraki. You will have the afternoon free to walk around the city center, shop at the flea market and buy hand-made sandals and various souvenirs.

At night you will go to Vyzantino’s, a traditional Greek restaurant in Plaka for a group dinner. The dinner includes various Greek appetizers and a choice of entree. Vyzantino’s always provides great service for the Bus2alps group. After dinner we will head out and enjoy Athen’s rich nightlife.

Day 3

On Saturday your trip leader will meet you in the hostel lobby to bring you to Lycabettus Hill, one of the highest peaks in Athens, with a 360 degree view of the city. In the afternoon you will have the option to take the bus to the beach or just to relax and grab a coffee at Starbucks. At night, you trip leader will take you to the area of Gazi, which is one of the most popular night time spots of the city. With bars and clubs all around you will be able to dance until the early hours of the morning.

Day 4

The tour ends on Sunday and you will check out of the accommodation. You will be able to take the shuttle to the airport. If your flight leaves later in the afternoon, you will be able to store your luggage in the accommodation and pick it up once you will need to head to the airport.
