Come to the “End of the World” in the beautiful city of Lagos! Fill your days by kayaking through crystal clear waters and into Lagos’s famous caves. Stroll the palm-lined promenades of the old walled town or relax on the sandy cove of Praia do Camilo. Come nightfall, you’ll be able to experience the vibrant Portuguese culture!
The trip meets at our accommodation in Lagos anytime after Thursday at 16:00*. You will be able to check into our accommodation anytime after 16:00 on Thursday.
Friday morning, after grabbing breakfast at the hostel, we will have a walking tour of Lagos where we will explore the maze like city famous for it's fortress walls and mosaics. After the walking tour you will have free time to further explore the city, go to the beach or grab a fresh seafood lunch. Later in the day you will meet the guide and depart for Sagres, a small coastal town to the west of Lagos. Sagres is most famous for the Cabo de Dan Vicente, also known as the "End of the World", which is the most south-western point of continental Europe and is now famous for it's incredible sunsets. Later in the night, meet in the hostel common room for an optional bar crawl of the best pubs and bars the city has to offer.
Saturday morning you will have the option to kayak through the golden coast of Lagos famous for it’s caves, cliffs and unique rock formations. If you do not choose to go kayaking, the day is yours to explore the city of Lagos or check out the various beaches such as Praia de Batata, known for its cliffs and caves or Praia Dona Ana, which has the most incredible natural rock structures jutting from the ocean. Later in the afternoon there will be an optional boat excursion of the beautiful algarve coast that will make a pit stops to swim and further explore the caves and grottos lagos is famous for. This excursion is can be booked through the hostel. The tour ends Sunday at noon. If you plan to stay later then this please ask the guide on the trip other activities you may do with your extra time in Lagos. Please contact us if you choose to stay an additional night (additional charges will apply).
