This tour meets in Amsterdam on Thursday, October 20th anytime after 4PM. Transportation to Amsterdam is not provided. From Amsterdam we travel in luxury coach bus to Paris and Barcelona. The tour ends in Barcelona on Sunday, October 30th and you will need to arrange your own transportation home from there.

The trip meets at our accommodation in Amsterdam anytime after 4 PM Thursday afternoon. Transportation to this destination is not included. Please plan your arrival accordingly. Your Bus2alps guide will be at the hostel to help check you in between 16:00 and 22:00. Luggage storage will be available for those of you arriving before 16:00. For those of you arriving after 22:00, you can check in at the reception desk and inform them you are with the Bus2alps group. The Amsterdam Dance Event music festival kicks off on Thursday night with Hardwell & Knife Party. If you are not attending the concert, the night is free for you to explore the various bars, clubs, and shows of Amsterdam, and your trip leader will be happy to direct you to various options.
Friday morning is free for you to explore the city, then after lunch, we depart for Sandeman’s New Europe Walking Tour of Amsterdam, which will take you by important sites like the Red Light District and Anne Frank House, while covering historical and contemporary facts about Amsterdam, its people, and its liberal culture. When the tour ends, a number of options are available to you. We’ll be able to guide you to the Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, “I Amsterdam” sign, and more! If you need a munchie fix, we’ll show you an incredible pancake house built in an old carousel.
Then the rest of the day is free. You may also participate in another one of Sandeman’s New Europe tours like the Red Light District Tour, or the Famous Coffeeshops Tour. If you have any other requests your Bus2alps guide will be happy to help you; otherwise, feel free to navigate the canals and explore the various districts, stores, pubs, restaurants, and coffee shops for the rest of the day. This weekend is also the beginning of the Amsterdam Music Festival. On Friday night at 5 PM the show starts and hosts an impressive line-up featuring some of the most popular DJs of the world like Martin Garrix, Tiesto, and The Chainsmokers! For those not going to the festival, the night is free again to explore more of Amsterdam’s diverse nightlife.
Saturday gives you the opportunity to continue to explore Amsterdam and visit any and all of the sites you may have missed on Friday. Bus2alps will be taking our group to tour the Heineken Experience in the early afternoon. If you wish to join the group, you will get a discounted rate and the tour ends with a canal tour! If you want to do your own thing, your guide can point you in the direction of the museums, Anne Frank House, and the Red Light District Tour, and Famous Coffee Shops Tour are also available on Saturday. Bus2alps also recommends renting a bike for the day as a fun and exciting way to get around and see the city like a local.
The Amsterdam Music Festival continues on Saturday night, and at 6 PM the show starts and hosts an impressive line-up featuring some of the most popular DJs of the world like Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, Lost Frequencies, Alesso, Axwell Ingrosso, The Chainsmokers, David Guetta, Don Diablo, Showtek & more! For those not going to the festival, the night is free again to explore more of Amsterdam’s diverse nightlife.
Make the most of your last day in Amsterdam! Last chance to check off any sights that you missed on the previous days such as Vondelpark, the Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, “I Amsterdam” sign, Anne Frank House, etc. The last night of the festival features some of the best artists of the entire weekend: Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Blasterjaxx, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, DVBBS, Nicky Romero, Steve Aoki, and more!
We will check out of our accommodation and depart Amsterdam on Monday morning for Paris. We will check into our accommodation in the afternoon and let everyone get settled. If you would like to stay with the group, we will take those who are interested to watch the Eiffel Tower light up and check out Paris’ bustling nightlife.
Tuesday morning we depart for the Sandeman’s New Paris Walking Tour, including stops at the Notre Dame, Pont des Arts, Les Tuileries, plus much more. The tour ends in front of the Lourve, which we will point out the secret entrance to, for all those interested in seeing its over 70,000 pieces of art. Afterwards, your trip leader will bring those interested to the Eiffel Tower or Arc de Triomphe. You will have time in the afternoon to check out the museums, shop on the chic Champs de Elysee, or hang out at the Eiffel Tower. The night is yours to explore Paris’ nightlife, watch the sunset at Sacre Coure or relax at the hostel.
Wednesday is the perfect day to take a trip out to Versailles Palace, the most notable palace in the world. Meet your Bus2alps Trip Leader in the accommodation lobby for Versailles. You will have plenty of time on return from Versailles to visit the Louvre, Musee d’Orsay, climb the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, or head out for some last second retail therapy. We will depart for Barcelona late on Wednesday night and arrive in Barcelona first thing the following morning.
Thursday morning we arrive in Barcelona. After some breakfast, we will head out on an included walking tour of Barcelona. The walking tour will cover some of Barcelona’s most amazing sites, such as the Gothic Quarter, El Born District, and the Arc de Triomphe, and more. After the walking tour, your day is free to explore one of Europe’s most iconic cities. Your trip leader can bring you to check out one of the best lunch spots in Barcelona, Bo D Be and then show you how to get to the beach, or hang out in one of Barcelona’s famous neighborhoods.
Later in the evening, we will head out to the best pregame bar in Barcelona, Le Cyrano, followed by free VIP club entrance to Bling Bling.
After a likely late night at some of Barcelona’s best nightclubs, we will let everyone sleep in and recover. Late Friday morning we will organize an optional trip to Gaudi's Park Güell for the best views of the city. Afterward, your trip leader will inform you as to how to get to Barcelona’s top sites, including the Olympic Village, the Picasso Museum, and the beach.
At sunset we can bring anyone who is interested to the Barcelona Bunkers look out point for arguably the most incredible view of the city. For those interested in keeping the party going, we will head to Barcelona’s most popular Beer and Sangria Hall, Ovella Negra, followed by a private bus transfer and free entrance to the famous beach club, Opium.
Saturday is our last full day of the trip. Everyone can take their time in the morning again to sleep in and re-charge their batteries. In the afternoon there will be an optional trip to the Sagrada Familia, Barcelona’s most famous cathedral. Your trip leader will give you all of the necessary information ahead of time in order to be able to book your entrance into the Sagrada Familia. Even though Halloween is technically on Monday, October 31st, in Spain it is a three day celebration. It is known as the “Day of the Dead”, or “El Dia de los Muertos”. It starts on the 29th of October and ends on 2nd of November, so our last night in Barcelona will be the first night of Spanish Halloween.
The tour ends Sunday morning. Most flights depart Barcelona in the mid-afternoon and evening. If your flight is in the afternoon, you must check-out prior to 11:00.
